One of the great assets that we possess is the ability to perform our own custom GIS mapping for cell tower evaluations. Below are a number of samples of our mapping capabilities and brief descriptions of the purpose the map fulfils.

Competing Structures Map
We prepare this map for all of our consultations. By mapping a proposed or existing cell tower site against existing towers in Steel in the Air's' proprietary database of towers, FCC Antenna Structure Registrations, and FAA Obstructions, Steel in the Air can evaluate whether existing structures should have any impact on your lease negotiations. This map is critical for AT&T/Cingular lease renegotiations and Sprint/Nextel lease negotiations.

Cell Tower Topography Map
By mapping the subject site location against the USGS topo quads, we can envision the topography of the site location as well as other existing towers in the area. Furthermore, this map can show where existing buildings are.

Often, it is essential to determine what the existing land use is of a particular area to help determine what other candidates the carrier might have. This map not only shows why the carrier is looking in a particular area for a cell tower site, but also what other options they might have.
